Welcome to the Fowler School of Law! The Hugh & Hazel Darling Law Library staff is here to help you have a productive and pleasant law school experience. Here are some things we thought you might want to know.

The Law Library is normally open during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 12 a.m.
Friday: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. - 12 a.m.
Research assistance is available at the Research Desk during the following hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Friday & Sunday: 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
On weekdays after 9 p.m. and on weekends, you must swipe your student ID to enter the Law Library.
The Law Library is generally closed during official Chapman University holidays, and hours may change during Law School exam periods and breaks. For current hours and information regarding holiday closures, please visit the Law Library homepage.
You received paperwork detailing how to register for Westlaw, Lexis Advance, Bloomberg Law, and CALI during Orientation. If you have any questions about the registration process, please email email@example.com.
Some professors have made past exams available to students as study tools. To access these exams, follow these steps:
1. Go to the Law Library homepage.
2. In the box labeled Course Reserves & Exams, enter your instructor's name and click Search. You can also search by the title of your course by clicking on the "Search by Course Name" link.
3. Select the appropriate course.
4. If the exam is available at "Law Course Reserve," you can check out a copy at the Circulation Desk.
If it is available at "Law Electronic Reserve," click the title of the exam and proceed to Step 5.
5. Enter your name, Chapman ID number, and PIN and click "Submit." Stop by the Law Library Research Desk if you need assistance with PIN setup.
6. A pdf of the exam will open in a new tab.
How do I print?
Free wireless printing for law students is available from three locations in the Law School. To print a one-sided document, compose an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, attach your document, and click send. To print a two-sided document, compose an e-mail to email@example.com, attach your document, and click send. You can release your print job from the first or second floor of the Law Library or the computer lab in KH Room 163. To print a selection of pages from your document, go to mobileprint.chapman.edu/myprintcenter and login. Stop by the Research Desk if you need assistance.
Is color printing available?
Color printing is available in the Leatherby Libraries Rotunda. The cost is 50 cents per side.
Where can I make copies?
There are copiers on the first and second floors of the Law Library. Copies cost 10 cents per page. You can pay with your Chapman ID card (if you have funds available) or cash. You can add funds to your Chapman ID card by visiting the Cashier's Office in Bhathal Hall.
Is there a scanner available in the Law Library?
Yes. There is a scanner available in the Microfiche Room on the first floor of the Law Library.
We have a variety of study aids in print and e-book format for all first year subjects that offer detailed explanations, outlines, and/or practice questions and answers. All can help you organize your studying, enhance your understanding, and review for exams. Print study aids are available at the Circulation Desk and may be checked out for three hours.
We have 11 study rooms for groups of two or more Fowler School of Law students; some hold as many as twelve people. All rooms include whiteboards; markers are available at the Circulation Desk. Reservations can be made online up to one week in advance by visiting our online study room reservation site or by making a reservation in person at the Circulation Desk.
